This month we explore advances in heart care by interviewing specialists from Saint Vincent Health Center. Saint Vincent Health Center experts will explain and explore the following: Heart attack care, new catheter ablation technique, less-invasive surgery and outpatient clinics. And, as always, we'll answer your questions.
Saint Vincent Health Center has been chosen as one of a select group of medical centers to be a national clinical trial site for a new system to treat atrial fibrillation (AF). This system has the potential to make treatment possible for more patients suffering from this life threatening condition.
Sam Ward, MD, will help us recognize the signs and symptoms of a heart attack and discuss other symptoms. David Borowski, MD, will discuss the new catheter ablation technique and a surgeon will explain Less-invasive heart surgery (valve and mini-maze) and Lora Joint, CCT & patient will talk about Outpatient clinics (ICD/Pacer, CHF).
